Varsity Boys Senior Spotlights

Kyle Blankenship

Kyle has been playing lacrosse for Centennial for 3 years, one year on junior varsity and two years on varsity. He plays mid-field and loves being a part of both the offensive and defensive parts of play. He also enjoys playing both roller and ice hockey and is currently a part of 3 hockey clubs. After graduation, he is not sure where he is going to college but would like to play D1 college hockey.

Brendan Cecere

Brendan is a senior at Centennial HS. Brendan has been very involved in the sports community serving as a certified youth lacrosse referee, volunteered his time as a  Newtown Recreation youth lacrosse coach, as well as becoming an American Red Cross certified lifeguard. His school activities include working with CHS faculty to start-up a CHS Robotics Club during his sophomore year, played 2 years of CHS football, 4 years of CHS lacrosse, and 4 years of CHS swim team. Academically, Brendan was a 2008 National Merit Scholarship qualifier and he likes to write computer gaming software. After college, Brendan is interested in working in the computer gaming industry and plans on majoring in Computer Science either at Auburn, Ga. Tech, University of Georgia, or Birmingham-Southern College.

Weston Ford

Weston Ford will be playing Centennial Varsity lacrosse for his second season this year, has played football for 3, and has been to Centennial for 4. He played mid field for his first year and will be playing defense this year. Aside from lacrosse Weston enjoys playing his guitar and playing video games. After graduation, Weston will be attending Georgia Southern University.

Max Frye

Max Frye

Max Frye has been playing Lacrosse since 8th grade and loves it. He enjoys the fast paced, aggressive style of play. He has attended Centennial for 4 years. Max has been accepted to Alabama and Georgia Southern but is holding out to hear from his top choice UGA before making a final decision!

Stan Kazanskiy

Stan Kazanskiy

Stan Kazanskiy has been playing Lacrosse for 3 year and is attending Centennial High School for the first year. He plays middie and loves to score goals. After graduation he is planning to attend Georgia State University. He also enjoys surfing, snowboarding, and music.

Erik Smither

This will be Erik's fourth year playing lacrosse for Centennial. He plays midfield and specializes in face offs and hustling. Last season Erik averaged .12 points a game and was the eleventh overall scorer. Off the field Erik enjoys movies including The Parent Trap and Dunstin Checks Inn. Next year Erik plans on using the morals and lessons learned on the field to find success in college.

Timmy Trockenbrot

 I have been been playing lacrosse since the 4th grade. I have played at Centennial for four years.  I play goalie.  After Graduation I plan to attend Eastern Connecticut or Western Connecticut to play lacrosse.  I plan on majoring in Pre-Dental and minoring in Business.  I enjoy Fishing Food and Fun a little thing I like to call the three F to a health life.
