Lacrosse workouts with the trainer are under way for both boys and girls programs. Take advantage of these off season workouts so you are in shape for the season.
HORTON and TORREY take HIGH SCHOOL ALL AMERICAN HONORS
All Americans Casey Horton and Keller Torrey" at
the Southeast National Tournament in Baltimore, MD
Congratulations to seniors and 2009 team captains Casey Horton and Keller Torrey for receiving All American Honors for the 2008 season.
Casey Horton was named a High School Academic All American by the Women’s Division of US Lacrosse and is the only current Knight to hold this honor. In order to be considered for this designation, a player must be a starter or significant contributor, carry at least 50 percent of her course load in college preparatory courses of honor or advanced placement level, have a cumulative weighted GPA of at least 3.6, be a junior or senior in high school, and make significant contributions to the school and/or community beyond participation on school athletic teams.
Keller Torrey is one of 12 Georgia High School players to receive High School All American honors for her 2008 season performance as awarded by The National Interscholastic Lacrosse Association and The US Lacrosse Coaches Association. Keller was the lead scorer for the Knights in 2008 with 65 goals and also led the team in interceptions and 8 meter shots. She was voted Offensive Player of the Year,1st team All State and 1st team All Northside.
